Veteran Resource Center
Lacey’s House provides a community based resource and referral center, Veterans Resource Center, (VRC), that provides access to both VA and community services to help veterans prevent or end homelessness. Lacey’s House offers camaraderie and a safe, clean environment to local vets for the day. At the VRC veterans can come and receive cold weather gear, employment assistance, basic toiletries, a warm meal, and connection to many resources in our local area.
Jim Palmer, an experienced Veteran Service Officer, is available at Lacey’s House most days the VRC is open. Please stop by or call Jim with any questions or concerns with any of your Veteran benefits concerns.

Walk-in Hours: 10 am-2 pm Monday through Friday. We will be closed Tuesday December 24th, & Tuesday December 31st, 2013.

If we cannot be of assistance to the Veteran and their family we can refer them to the appropriate party. If the Veteran is not eligible for medical care they may be eligible for services at the VRC (humanitarian only, less than honorable discharge).
Staff: The VRC is staffed by volunteers and paid employees who are there to help and guide the Veteran with the many programs and services available:
- Assessment and Short-term case management
- Referral to VA housing programs (grant & per diem, HUD/VASH, SRO, Veterans Recovery House)
- Can provide housing, give assistance finding shelter, market rate or subsidized housing, utility assistance and other basic needs
- Access to VA programs and benefits such as mental health and substance abuse treatment
Facility: This will be a multi-purpose facility that will have:
- Computers and phones for job search
- Clothing, Food, Basic Toiletries
We are in need of volunteers to help in maintaining the clothing, food, basic toiletry items to give easy access to our Veterans when obtaining these needed supplies. Call or e-mail our VRC and see how you can help out.
